Beaver Lodge Fly-inn's Newsletter
Season's Greetings from Beaver Lodge!
This is our 10th season already, time doesn’t wait for anybody. The world economy sucks big time, but one bright light is the fact the canadian dollar is trading around the 80 to 84 cents U.S. Which is better news than last year when the dollar was at par.
We had may firsts last year at the camp. The largest Pike last year was 47 inches and caught by Cindy Brady, the first time one of the fair sex was the winner of the free trip.
The largest Lake Trout 42 inches was caught by Jerry Lacy who was our first two time winner in nine years.
Congratulations to the winners for 2008.
Another first, we had John and Deb Lausser arriving in a small amphibian float plane which they flew all the way from Florida. Since John was very gracious and giving rides to everyone,we had a great time flying to other lakes to fish. Thanks again John!!!
We will be going to the Denver Trade Show this year. It runs from January 22nd to 25th and also to the Rapid City Show from February 20th to 22nd, and the Saskatoon Show which is in the beginning of March. Hope we will be able to see you at one of the shows.
We have been very busy this year in the Cabinet Shop, and Marion is still Managing the Credit Union (32 years and counting).
In August we where very pleased to add a new Member to the family, Our Son Brain and his Wife Jodie had a new son, Kylan Rost Olson who is a new Brother for our Grand daughter Sofie who will be 2 in February. They will be home for Christmas so it will be great to spend some time with the family over Christmas.
Wishing You all a Very Merry Christmas and the Best in 2009
Randy and Marion
